How do I manage or cancel Filament Sync?

Filament Sync is billed through your Apple Account, so it's managed the same way as any other subscription: open Settings on iPhone (or System Settings on Mac), tap your name, then Subscriptions, and select Filament Sync. You can cancel there at any time — you'll keep access until the end of the current billing period.

What does Filament Sync actually add?

Capture, triage, and manually linking notes are free on a single device, permanently. Filament Sync adds sync across iPhone and Mac via your own iCloud account, AI-suggested connections between notes, and AI-assisted drafting.

Where is my data stored?

Your notes live on your device and, if Filament Sync is on, in your own private iCloud account via CloudKit — the same way Apple's own apps sync data. Filament doesn't run its own servers and doesn't have access to your notes. Suggested Connections and AI drafting run using on-device Apple Intelligence models; nothing is sent to a third-party AI service.

Can I get my notes out of Filament?

Yes — from Settings, export any date range or mix of note types as Markdown or PDF.

Does Filament run on iPad?

Not yet — Filament currently supports iPhone and Mac.

I found a bug, or something looks wrong

Please email support@filamentnotes.app with what happened and, if you can, the steps to reproduce it. Screenshots help a lot.
